SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: NBA star Bryn Forbes has reportedly moved back in with his mother and thinks his basketball career is over after he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-fiancee. The NBA free agent, who was released by the Minnesota Timberwolves in February, was taken into custody early on February 15 on suspicion of assault with bodily injury, following a verbal altercation with his ex-fiancee Elsa Jean, a former well-known pornstar.

Forbes was released following the NBA trade deadline and was reportedly going to be traded a week after the alleged crime. The NBA star was arrested at a residence in north-central San Antonio and was taken to the Bexar County Jail.

Where is Bryn Forbes now?

As per an insider, the NBA star now lives with his mother after the rumored trade reportedly fell through as a result of his arrest, per Daily Mail. "Bryn is living back with his mother and does not know what the future holds for him anymore," sources said.

The insider continued, "He was supposed to be traded to the Bucks but that is now on hold indefinitely following his arrest. He has no offers, and he is not playing [in] the NBA. He believes that his NBA career is no longer an option, and he blames himself for this. Basketball was his lifelong dream, and he is getting nothing."

Why was Bryn Forbes arrested?

According to a police report from February 15, Jean "was allegedly struck several times, causing injury and pain," and she needed medical care. Previously, sources close to Jean reportedly claimed that Forbes had mistreated the 26-year-old for the first time, leaving her body "bruised up" and giving her "two black eyes."

Sources said that Jean, who is nearly a foot shorter than the basketball player, and Forbes, were engaged and had been living together for a year when the incident happened on Valentine's Day. Following the fight, Jean "broke off the engagement," but Forbes was still in love with her, according to the insider. She moved out and "never wants to speak to him again." "He is not willing to accept that she doesn't want him back and is telling his friends that he still loves her. She never wants to speak with him again and she is currently seeing a therapist that deals with domestic violence. She has moved out and is back in Los Angeles now," sources said.

'She will not give back the engagement ring'

Despite the fact that the engagement has been called off, Jean allegedly believes she is entitled to keep the $30,000 ring and refused to return it. "She will not give back the engagement ring that he got for her and feels that she has earned it for what he put her through," the source said. The pair reportedly met through Forbes' former teammate Karl, Anthony Towns, and his girlfriend, Jordyn Woods. However, the former adult star ended her friendship with Woods and had no plans to see her again. "Elsa has ended her friendship with Jordyn Woods," the insider said, adding, "She has unfollowed her and wants nothing to do with her after ending her relationship with Bryn."

Forbes has been released on $2,500 bond, with his arraignment scheduled for March 20.
