MOSCOW, IDAHO: Bryan Christopher Kohberger, the suspect in the killings of four University of Idaho students, has been taken into custody more than a month after the murder that occurred on November 13. The 28-year-old is being detained on suspicion of killing Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves.
As a result of the accused's arrest, the Internet is currently in a state of pandemonium due to the downpour of new theories about the case's suspect from online sleuths across social media. Recently, a Reddit user allegedly claimed that the arrested suspect, Khoberger, had a Reddit account and posted various possibilities around the case.

Was Bryan Kohberger at Grub Truck on Idaho murders night? Internet shares WILD theories
The most baffling one is that Khoberger supposedly tried to defend Jack Showalter, nickednamed the "hoodie guy," by web sleuths who considered him to be a primary suspect. He was considered suspicious since he was seen at the food truck at the time when Goncalves and Mogen were there and seemingly followed them when they left. The user shared several screenshots of the Reddit thread on Twitter. The user wrote, "#BryanKohberger is actually dumb as a rock, and his ego is his downfall." One of the pictures supposedly show Khoberger's post exonerating Jack Showalter by saying, "Agreed! JS is innocent."

Online rumors had earlier suggested that the murderer might be Showalter as he had recently been kicked out of his fraternity and that he might own the same kind of knife used to murder the four University of Idaho students. The Daily Mail earlier reported that the 'hoodie guy' didn't seem to be dangerous or hold any ill-will towards the victims. An eyewitness Joe Vidot stated, "I saw the hoodie guy show up with the two of them. The vibe I got from him is that he's super nice." The Idaho police too had earlier acknowledged that the man in the video had been ruled out as a suspect.
About Bryan Kohberger's arrest
On Friday, December 30, Kohberger was arrested in a gated neighborhood close to the Pennsylvanian town of Jonas in the Pocono Mountains. He is being held in custody after being charged in Monroe County court. According to sources, the suspect had previously received a degree from DeSales University in Allentown and was a PhD candidate in criminal justice and criminology at Washington State University, which is close to the University of Idaho.
Nobody from Kohberger's family has offered a statement on his arrest. Additionally, investigators are still attempting to determine whether he was related to the four victims who were stabbed to death on November 13. The authorities have not yet explained why they initially suspected him. However, according to reports, an insider claimed that the officers finally located him at his Pennsylvania family home after keeping a watch on his movements.
Ongoing investigation for Idaho murders
As previously reported by MEAWW, Bill Thompson, the prosecutor for Latah County, stated on Friday that the police are requesting people, who may have information on Kohberger, to contact them. He said, "This is not the end of this investigation. In fact, this is a new beginning." He further added, "You all now know the name of the person who has been charged with these offenses, please get that information out there, please ask the public, anyone, who knows about this individual, to come forward."
