Brittany and Scott Williams from Nashville are yet another engaged couple to appear on Netflix's latest feel-good offering 'Marriage or Mortgage'. Brittany is a self-confessed princess and Scott, a US army vet will be seen seeking the help of real estate agent Nichole Holmes and wedding planner Sarah Miller in order to judge all their options and decide which way they wish to go.

Scott and Brittany's budget for a wedding and the downpayment of the house was $33K and the farthest they spare for a home was $475,000. A wedding was really important for both of them because both believe that it's a merging of families. A home too was something that they wanted because being in the army, Scott had been deployed a couple of times before and in a year and a half from the time they signed up for the show, he was about to be deployed yet again. Scott wanted a stable home for Brittany while he was gone. Continue reading below for more scoop on the couple and why they chose home over a wedding even though it felt like the opposite.

Who are Brittany Jenkins and Scott Williams?

Brittany and Scott met each other in a club. They were dancing with each other but when the lights flashed on, Brittany had already left and Scott had to contact a friend who had a friend who was friends with Brittany's friend and that's how their story began. Both of them loved dancing and since a dance floor is where their story began, they wanted to ensure that they have one at their wedding reception. But that was not the only thing they wanted. If you've seen the trailer you'd know that Brittany loves all things "extra" and she believes that her wedding will be an event where everyone gets to celebrate her extraness.

Brittany is a model who is represented by Runways the Talent Group and Amax Talents. Her beautiful visage lit up everytime she spoke about her wedding and the elements she expected to be incorporated in her wedding. For instance, she wanted to leave the ceremony and arrive at the reception in a horse carriage, living a little Cinderella moment, if you will. The two also wanted to perform two dances at the wedding, a waltz and a hip-hop routine. As far as their requirement for the home went, the couple was living in a one bed, one bath home in Clarksville, Tennessee with just one window in the entire home and drawers for closets. There wasn't enough space for all her clothes in her house and Brittany was required to drive all the way from her home to her mom's in Nashville just to pick up what to wear on certain days. They wanted a three bed and three bath home and with all their requirements laid on the table, their job was half done and it was then time for Nichole and Sarah to work their magic.

Why did the couple choose a home over a wedding?

Sarah came through with everything Scott and Brittany needed for the wedding and even more. Due to budget restraints, the couple had decided to do just one dance at the wedding and as far as the wedding gown went, Brittany just needed a jumpsuit because she had already picked out her wedding dress. Sarah was able to comp the price of a jumpsuit that Brittany had tried on when she'd taken her trousseau shopping on the condition that a wedding dress be bought from the same store. Sarah was also able to get both the horse carriage and a Rolls-Royce for the price of one, to fulfill Brittany's dream of a grand exit. She had also planned a tribute for Brittany's grandpa by setting a basketful of doves free. Brittany and Scott both were sold on what Sarah had in mind for their wedding.

Nichole was not far behind. There were a couple of issues with the homes she showed the couple who seemed to like none of what they were shown. Each house had certain elements that Brittany and Scott didn't like, including barn doors and a combination of wood and marble together. Nichole felt like she was failing but in the end, she pulled out an option that was completely unique and they couldn't say no to it. Nichole had found that a plot of land was available to purchase which was a 90-second walk from Brittany's parents' home. After some thinking, the couple decided that they'd choose a home over a wedding and they constructed their dream home in five months and incorporated everything they ever dreamt of having in their home.
