‘Breeders’ Episode 4 Preview: Will Paul and Ally’s relationship suffer as family issues take a front seat?

So far, we have seen the young couple stand together as a team and fight all odds. But going by the preview of the upcoming episode, it appears that the duo might now stand against each other

Paul and Ally Worsley’s life seems to be nothing more than a series of unfortunate events. First, it was dealing with the children’s sleeping issues, then their son, Luke’s never-ending streak of freak accidents, and above all, the sudden appearance of Ally’s estranged father, Michael. Now, as far as the kids are concerned, Michael’s presence is surely keeping them occupied and a new person to pester, finally giving their parents a little room to breathe.

But a new member in the household seems to have put Paul and Ally in a tough spot. While they appreciate that Michael is now dealing with the kids, they are also not happy with the way Michael lives. As we saw in the last episode, Michael wants to move out, but apparently, his pension money fell through and he has no resource to find a place on his own. However, that seems to be the least of the problems for Mr and Mrs Worsley now, as evident from the upcoming episode trailer.

As the official synopsis says, Paul fights against his claim of not lying, when Luke is all set to prove that Santa doesn’t exist. But there’s more to the upcoming plotline as the promo reveals.

Episode 4, ‘No Lies’ is going to explore the tiff between Paul and Ally, when Ally finds out that Paul had mortgaged their house and never spilled a word about it to her. To this, Paul’s response is that when Ally was going through her post-partum depression, they needed the money and Paul had no other way to deal with raising two kids, managing medical expenses, etc.

In the 20-second trailer, we see cut scenes of Ally breaking down into tears as she walks out of the house, while Paul tries his best to pacify the situation, not being able to figure out a solution to the series of problems.

Take a peek at what's coming in the next episode of the family comedy-drama.

‘No Lies’ is not just about Paul not lying to his kids (or as he claims) but also about him not wanting to lie to his wife. While the episode will probably see him lying despite his claim, it would also probably see Paul trying to fix his mistakes. But while he does that and other issues continue to persist, we wonder if the struggling couple will start having differences. For so long they have been standing as a team against all odds and have been getting through one day at a time. And now, with Paul hiding facts, it could become difficult for Ally to rely on her husband and this could throw them both off the hook, making it impossible to manage the situations at home.

‘Breeders’ Episode 4 will air on Monday, March 16, 2020, at 10 pm (ET), only on FX.
