'Breathe: Into the Shadows': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the Amazon Prime thriller

The Amazon Prime original titled 'Breathe: Into the Shadows' has a trailer that will send shivers down your spine. Starting Abhishek Bachchan, the thriller seemingly reminds us of vigilantes on 'Criminal Minds' and a tad bit of 'Dexter.' How far would a father go to bring his daughter home? Find out with the release of the thriller in early July. Here's what we know of what could become your new must-watch:

Release date

The Indian web series, set to consist of 12 episodes, will release on July 10, 2020.

Plot

The official synopsis reads, “A 6-year old girl is kidnapped by a mysterious masked man, who demands an unusual ransom. To save his daughter, Dr. Avinash Sabharwal must kill someone! Meanwhile, Kabir Sawant continues his pursuit for justice in the hostile environment of the Delhi Crime branch. A chaotic world of lies, deceit and mind games opens when Kabir is given charge of the investigation of the murders committed by Avinash. How far will Avinash go to find his missing daughter?”

Many in the Indian film industry know the last name, Bachchan, because of the famous Amitabh. Abhishek, his son, has since continued to carry on the name in the industry after having been part of many hit movies. You may remember Abhishek as Shankar Nagre in the 'Government' series, Gurukant Desai in 'Guru' (2007), and Inder Bhalla in 'All is Well' (2015), Jai Dixit in the 'Dhoom' series and yes even the mushy role of Rishi Talwar in 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' (2006).

Sadh is a well known Indian actor and is recognized for his roles as Raghubir Pratap Singh in 'GOLD' (2018), Aakash Oberoi in 'Sultan' (2016), Shivaji Nagre in 'Government 3' (2017), Omi Shastri in 'Kai Po Che' (2013) and Siraj in 'Baarish Aur Chowmein' (2018)

Other members of the cast include Nithya Menen (this web series is her digital debut) as Abha Sabharwal, Saiyami Kher as Shirley, Hrishikesh Joshi as Prakash Kamble, Ivana Kaur as Siya Sabharwal, Resham Shrivardhan as Gayatri Mishra, Shrikant Verma as Jaiprakash and many more.

Creators

The series is created and produced by Abundantia Entertainment and created and directed by Mayank Sharma. Bhavani Iyer, Arshad Sayed, Mayank Sharma, and Vikram Tuli serve as writers. Vikram Malhotra serves as an executive producer.

The trailer begins with the search and desperation of Avinash and Abha Sabharwal as they desperately seek the whereabouts of their missing daughter Siya. However, it soon turns into an ugly mind-game that pushes them into a world of crime.
