One of the latest entrants on 'Billions' Season 6 is 'The House of Cards' alum Sakina Jaffrey. The actress plays Daevisha 'Dave' Mahar, a gritty and relentless defense attorney who puts Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) in his place in her first case against him. Although she was introduced in Episode 5, much of her actual strengths are shown in Episode 6 'Hostis Humani Generis' that puts the spotlight on the attorney.

The episode sees her lock horns with Rhoades' former second-in-command, Kate Sacker (Condola Rashad), and pip her in the very first round. This also helps the New York AG score his first win against Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) who recruits Sacker as his lead counsel on his NY Olympics bid. Mahar undermining Kate in the final sign-off on the state-of-the-art trains sees the former experience her first failure and as dejected as she is, quietly vows to get back at her competition.

'Billions' Season 6 Episode 5: Is Sarah Stiles character leaving hit Showtime drama?

This storyline works strongly in favor of 'Billions' considering the flak it continues to receive. With longtime lead Damian Lewis exiting the show, the finance drama has had to navigate some rough terrain as it focused on the Prince vs Rhoades battle. With the devious AG all set to vanquish billionaires who he believed always have a hidden agenda and a corrupt side, Prince is on his radar and with the Olympics as his plan, Rhoades is ready to pull out all the stops to ensure Prince loses the battle.

Sacker vs Mahar just adds more intrigue to the already crowded plotline that also squeezes in Taylor's (Asia Kate Dillon) brilliance. She's already scored two moral victories for the side and is one of the top performers on Prince's side. Coming back to Mahar, the "dogged defense attorney" as her character was described by Deadline will surely see some highs and lows based on the number of appearances she has left on the show. In all likelihood, 'Billions' Season 6 will mostly see her stick around for the rest of the season.

'Billions' Season 6 airs Sunday nights at 9 pm on Showtime.
