Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'FUBAR' premiered on Thursday, May 25, on Netflix. The action-comedy television series, created by Nick Santora, stars Schwarzenegger in his first leading role in a scripted live-action television series. 'FUBAR' is a joint production of Skydance Television and Blackjack Films. Season 1 has eight episodes, all of which have been released. A second season has not been confirmed as of the show’s premiere.

The story revolves around a father, Luke Brunner (Arnold Schwarzenegger), and his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro), who work as CIA operatives. However, both the characters have kept their involvement in the CIA hidden from one another. As the pair eventually learn the truth, they are forced to work together as partners and learn more about each other in the backdrop of massive action.

'FUBAR' is full of explosions, fights, and quips

The first teaser for 'FUBAR' was released by Netflix on February 27, which was less than 30 seconds long, but was enough to prompt a huge response on social media. The full trailer was later released on April 19, giving fans a sneak-peak into the story full of explosions, fights, and quips.

The filming of the series began in April 2022 in Belgium, but additional filming also took place in Toronto, and the filming was wrapped up by September 2022. Other actors who appeared in 'FUBAR' include Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eve Harris, and Fabiana Udenio.

Fans took to social media to shower praises on the series. "#Arnold as a worried spy dad is just what a blockbuster series needs. I binged watched the entire show and now I am eagerly waiting for the second season," one user tweeted. "Loving it so far! The subtle humour in some scenes(listen for the bass guitarist's playing after an 'incident' in the first episode). I'm not going to binge watch though, I'm going to savour the series," another user wrote. "Watching it now on episode 5 at the moment, so far excellent funny great action sequences and above all a terrific cast," said one user. One said, "Already watched the first 3- fun and action. Best new release on Netflix in months."
