The much-awaited monster-thriller film ‘Beast’ is releasing in theatres globally on August 19, 2022.
What is the plot of ‘Beast’?
It is a survival-based monster thriller film that revolves around Dr Nate Samuels (Idris Elba), a widower who goes on a trip to South Africa with his two daughters Meredith (Iyana Halley) and Norah (Leah Sava Jeffries). They all are doing this trip to spend some quality time together after the death of Nate’s wife. They stay on a game reserve that is managed by Nate’s old friend Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley).
The first thirty seconds of the trailer show glimpses of this being a normal trip with photos and laughs that they all have. Soon enough, things change rapidly when they find a man in the middle of the road describing he’s been attacked by the devil. They arrive there to see that all residents living there had been brutally slaughtered by the devil. When they start leaving from there, they are attacked by a blood-thirsty lion. Their trip changes into a living nightmare as all of them are stuck and trapped inside the car with no way out.
The official synopsis reads, “Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles, an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins stalking them”.

The 49-years-old golden globe awards nominated star Idris Elba has given some of his finest performances in films like ‘Prometheus’, ‘Thor’ film series, ‘Beast of No Nation’, ‘Zootopia’, ‘The Suicide Squad’, ‘Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw’, ‘Star Trek Beyond’. He made his directorial debut in 2018 with the film ‘Yardie’. Idris Elba is going to be seen portraying the lead role of Dr Nate Daniels in much awaited monster-thriller film ‘Beast’.
