The two seasons that CeCe Gutierrez, 47, has been a part of were nothing short of harrowing for her. She was courting controversies like no other. Having a strong narrative is one thing but having to constantly explain oneself for it can get exhausting. And that was probably what happened to CeCe when she decided not to appear for the Season 8 reunion.

She joined 'Basketball Wives' in Season 7 alongside Kristen Scott. Even though they are related, the drama boiled over leaving their relationship fractured for the foreseeable future. CeCe and Kristen feuded over their significant others. While CeCe was dating NBA legend Byron Scott, 59, at the time, his son Thomas Scott is married to Kristen.

Kristen wished she and CeCe would bond but they fell apart before any effort was made. Ogom 'OJ' Chijindu revealed that CeCe shared how Thomas was Byron's adopted son. This shocked Kristen when she realized that CeCe decided to reveal such sensitive information to one of the other ladies and not her.

Naturally, arguments followed, which finally led to Kristen not being invited to CeCe's wedding. Another contributing factor to her being left out of the guest list was Byron finding it strange that Kristen would accuse him of not seeing his granddaughter often.

CeCe's exit from the show was abrupt and left viewers with burning questions and a very important one happened to be: Is CeCe returning to the show? In this week's episode of 'BBW', Malaysia Pargo made it amply clear that the former cast member's connection with the show has run its course.

She and Kristen got chatty about how lovely CeCe and Byron looked on their wedding day, which was an intimate affair and attended just by close friends and family. Because it was a lockdown wedding, the couple live-streamed it for those sitting miles away. In her confessional, Malaysia shared that she doesn't think CeCe would hang out with the group any longer because it wouldn't make sense for her to return to the drama.
