Kristin Vanorman grills Gwyneth Paltrow

A 76-year-old optometrist, Dr. Terry Sanderson, has accused the actress and wellness guru of a hit-and-run crash slamming into him while skiing on a beginner’s run at Deer Valley Resort, causing ongoing injuries, and then quickly leaving the scene along with her instructor. Specifically, he alleges Paltrow, 50, delivered a “full body hit” resulting in permanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, and loss of enjoyment of life. Regardless, Paltrow was grilled at the time of her testimony at the court. The key point of the testimony centered on Paltrow denying colliding into Sanderson and saying that the latter struck her on the ski slope instead. Kristin Vanorman spent nearly an hour questioning the actress about the events leading up to the ski accident and about her knowledge of ski rules.

Stephen Owens set to avenge

Furthermore, Paltrow’s lawyers pushed back on this idea during cross-examination, citing his deposition three years ago when he responded “yes” when asked if he thought it was “cool” Paltrow was the other party in the accident. When also asked why he sent his daughters an email just hours after the crash with the subject line, “I’m famous,” he said he was trying to inject some “levity” into a very serious situation. After Sanderson said the subject line and reaction in the deposition were uncharacteristic and “not me”, Paltrow’s lawyer Stephen Owens grilled him.
