LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It took 13 years for James Cameron to bring the ‘Avatar’ sequel to life. The original movie came out in 2009 and turned out to be the highest-grossing movie of all time, overtaking Cameron’s other blockbuster hit ‘Titanic’. Apart from the director, all the actors working in the movie have also worked for so many years to bring Pandora and its Na’vi people to life. However, there’s one actor who filmed her part such a long time ago that she felt that the film has flopped because she didn’t hear anything about it.

Edie Falco, who plays the role of General Frances Ardmore in ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, is one of the new cast members in the ‘Avatar’ franchise and is now the commander in charge of the RDA’s interests. The character is given the work of taking back the Pandora forests so that they can extract and take back the natural minerals to earth. However, the mission changes and it becomes all about killing Jake Sully for betraying them in the first movie. Falco has done a phenomenal job in the film, but it seems she shot her part so long ago that she forgot if the movie was even released or not.

While making an appearance on 'The View', the 59-year-old star opened up about her role in the sequel and shared an interesting story about how she thought ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ flopped at the box office. The actor noted that she shot the sequel “four years ago” and got so busy with other work that when someone mentioned ‘Avatar’ to her, she thought that the movie flopped so badly that she hasn’t heard anything about it.

“I saw the first one when it was out. The second Avatar I shot four years ago. I've been busy and doing stuff. Somebody mentioned Avatar and I thought, 'Oh, I guess it came out and it didn't do very well because I didn't hear anything about it,’” said Falco.

However, she recently got to know that ‘Avatar 2’ is coming out and she took a sigh of relief that the movie is finally releasing. She joked, “It happens! Someone recently said, 'Avatar is coming out,' and I said, 'Oh, it hasn't come out yet?' I will never work again because I said that.”

Well, we don’t blame her. As a fan, even we forgot for a while if a new ‘Avatar’ movie will be coming or not, and now that it’s here, viewers can’t be happier. ‘The Way of Water’ is set a decade after the events of the first film and tells the story of the Sully family and the troubles that follow them. The family will do anything to keep each other safe and they fight the battle to keep the entire tribe safe from the wrath of humans. The film sees Sam Worthington reprising the role of Jake Sully while Zoe Saldana returns to play Neytiri.

The movie currently holds a 78% rating on the review site Rotten Tomatoes. However, the audience score is much higher with 94% on the website.
