'AGT' Wildcard: Fans upset as 'parmesan cheese guy' Ben Lapidus gets picked over Ben Waites
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: The competition on 'America's Got Talent' is reaching the cut-throat phase, as the final lineup of 54 shortlisted acts and one wildcard entry performer compete for the top two spots in the finale. With a $100,000 grand prize and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of being the headlining act in Las Vegas, the performers are putting their best foot forward to impress not only the judges but also the audience.
Ahead of the lives round, it was announced that Ben Waites, Jordan Conley, Debbii Dawson, and Auzzy Blood, had to fight for the wildcard save from the audience. Comedian Jordan Conley managed to bag the wildcard save vote after securing the maximum votes from the audience, thus ending the journey of the other three contestants on the reality talent-hunt show. While fans were sad to watch the three exceptionally talented performers' journey end, they were left feeling triggered when they realized that Ben Lapidus was given the platform to perform during the lives round, while a talented singer like Ben Waites was shown the door.
