Colorado's Riker Lynch picked up where he left off with another splashy and groovy performance of his original 'Feel the Love' in 'American Song Contest'. The semi-finals were well and truly underway after Kentucky's Jordan Smith set the tone with 'Sparrow'. Lynch's second performance saw some positive responses on social media.

The contestants for week 1 include: Alabama – Ni/Co – ‘The Difference‘, Kentucky – Jordan Smith – ‘Sparrow‘, Massachusetts – Jared Lee – ‘Shameless‘, Michigan – Ada LeAnn – ‘Natalie‘, Montana – Jonah Prill – ‘Fire It Up‘, and New Hampshire – MARi – ‘Fly‘. The five contestants from the semi-final who receive enough votes from the national jury and the at-home audiences will advance to the finale on May 9.

"Song of the summer anyone??? #americansongcontest @RikerLynch," one of the tweets read. "Act 2 - Semi 2 Colorado - Riker Lynch - "Feel the Love" this was the most improve act it added a live stage crowd and the perfromer going into the crowd song is still OK My Score 6," one of the fans ranked the performance. "I feel like @RikerLynch’s song sounds like it would be used in an ad for @CarnivalCruise#americansongcontest," a fan wrote. "So amazing to see @RikerLynch in his element. Really bringing back memories of his time in a (fictional) Westerville, Ohio which is where I live. #AmericanSongContest," a tweet said.

"I am feeling the love in the room for RIKER LYNCH!! Time to get up and dance #americansongcontest," one of the fans commented. The encouraging response continued. "Riker Lynch's "Feel the Love" is one of the best feel-good songs of 2022! #americansongcontest," a tweet read. And some crush vibes: "#AmericanSongContest Riker Lynch ... well first darn he has a girlfriend (not like I had a chance anyway but that aside) and secondly he looks 23 and 33 at the same time and I am deeply confused! Oh well he's a cutie and I love the song."
