COVINGTON, TENNESSEE: Alissa McCommon, a Tennessee teacher who was out on bond is now rearrested! She is accused of raping a 12-year-old student and police fear many other victims will come forward soon.

On Thursday, September 28, she was again put behind bars for texting the victim. Alissa warned him that he was going to ‘regret’ his decision to report her to the police.

What are the new charges slapped against Alissa?

The fresh charges against her include aggravated stalking, harassment, and coercing. The accused was taken into custody from her Covington home, previously being arrested three weeks ago.

Alissa was out after paying her $25,000 bond under the condition she would stay away from the alleged victim and would not communicate with him.

“The evidence indicates McCommon texted a victim, using a specific code word known to the juvenile as a code word McCommon would previously utilize to confirm that the juvenile was alone, often before sending nude photographs on Snapchat,” Covington police said in a statement.

Alissa allegedly admitted to a sexual encounter with the boy during their conversation over the phone. Once, the victim reported to the authorities, she was taken into custody the same day, reports New York Post.

“The actions of McCommon are not only appalling, but CPD is also concerned about this apparent violation of her bond conditions. Due to the nature of the communications, we are concerned others may have been contacted,” Covington Police Chief Donna Turner said.

"On 26 September 2023, the CPD Criminal Investigation Division (CID) received information that former teacher Alissa McCommon, 38, of Covington, TN, using a previously unknown phone number, initiated additional contact with a victim," Donna added.

Many other juvenile victims come forward

During the investigation, it was also found that once she was kicked out of school without pay and lost her position at Charger Academy, several juvenile victims claimed that she started interacting with them over social media.

Alissa then began playing video games with some of them that's when she may have started grooming her potential victims.

The statement released by Covington Police added, "McCommon was transported to the Tipton County jail after rearrest. McCommon is being held without bond pending her appearance in Tipton County General Sessions Court. She has been charged with coercion of a witness, aggravated stalking, tampering with evidence, and harassment."

McCommon claims herself to be innocent and her defense attorney added that she is a victim of a 'witch hunt' online.
