Was 'AGT Extreme' finale rigged? Viewers slam format, say 'it's worse than Champions'

In the end, it all came down to a finale between Aaron Wheelz and Alfredo Silva’s Cage Riders in 'Americas Got Talent: Extreme' finals. The duo were among the finalists that also included Verge Aero, Cyndel Flores, Erika Lemay, Aaron Evans, and Jade Kindar-Martin. They will face off one last time with a stunt for the audience and the judges will decide who goes home with half a million dollars. Wheelz and Silva's trio made the top 4 after fending off competition from Kindar-Martin and Lemay. 

Not all fans watching the show were happy though. "WAIT. So in the "finale", only two finalist acts actually get to perform? Everyone else is already voted off behind the scenes? That's stupid, @AGT, real stupid. Suddenly not a fan of this 4 episode format for #AGTExtreme. Wanted to see ALL golden buzzers perform again," one of the fans opined. This was seconded by another who wrote, "Ngl I feel like this was rigged a bit because both these acts in the finals are kind of similar so it'll be easier to judge who can win. Not that they don't deserve it, just kinda sus. This format sucks, even worse than Champions. #AGTExtreme."

"Yeah, agreed. I'd loved the show until now, but spending half the "finale" on more auditions... then kicking most finalists to the curb without even a second performance is hot garbage. #AGTExtreme," one of the fans remarked. "Who are these alleged superfans? Why didn’t we the people get a vote? #AGTExtreme," a tweet said. "they literally brought all those acts back just to have them walk out and not even perform?? they should've cut the audition rounds and add another round before the finale to make this more cohesive. also, the golden buzzer is basically pointless?? #AGTExtreme,"  a comment read.
