'A Million Little Things' Episode 5: Katherine and Eddie might be patching up their relationship faster than we thought
Spoilers ahead for Episode 5 'Austin' of 'A Million Little Things'
Episode five 'Austin' of 'A Million Little Things' begins with Katherine (Grace Park) reading to Theo (Tristan Byon) and Eddie (David Giuntoli) watching over them. Theo is fussing about some factual mistakes in the book that Katherine is reading to him and she asks Eddie to fact-check on the iPad.
Eddie unlocks the iPad to find homes for sale and law firms hiring in Austin, Texas. He is surprised but doesn't confront her then. However, Gary (James Roday) and Rome (Romany Malco) tell him that he needs to discuss this with Katherine and he can't possibly assume the worst.
When he asks her, she tells him that she does want to move to Austin, but not alone — she wants him and Theo to come along with her too.
Katherine talks about how it is difficult to handle things here with all the mess they have found themselves in — she also tells him that it is all the more difficult because it is not just them dealing with their own issues — everyone around them is aware of their "business".
She says that sometimes she wishes she could go to a place and begin anew but realises that she can't because Eddie needs to stay here for Charlie.
While Eddie acknowledges that things have been especially difficult for Katherine, he tells her that even if they can't go to Austin, there is somewhere else they can go.
He takes her to an open house where they pretend to be a couple moving to the city from Austin. Eddie became Edward, an astronaut, and Katherine becomes Kat. They walk around the house as potential buyers.
The couple bond over the time they spend in the open house. Sexual tensions between them also rise — when the realtor leaves them alone in the master bedroom, Edward and Kat get inside the closet to do some funky business.
Later when they are over at Delilah's (Stephanie Szostak) place for the family photo, Eddie doesn't leave her alone for a minute and it is almost endearing to watch them patch things up after being broken for so long. It definitely looks like they want to give it another chance this time around.
'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 9|8c on ABC.
