3 people stabbed near University of Iowa campus as suspect remains at large
IOWA CITY, IOWA: At least three people were stabbed after a major fight broke out near the University of Iowa campus. According to the Iowa City police, the incident took place around 2 am on Saturday, May 6, near S Gilbert and E Burlington Streets. Many people ran away when officers arrived at the scene, and the police found three adult men injured and bleeding from stab wounds.
“The victims were taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of their injuries. All three are expected to recover,” police said. The investigators looking into the crime determined that the fight took place between individuals who were known to each other, and there is no direct threat to the general public at large. The authorities are yet to make any arrests in the case.

'Multiple victims confirmed'
There is no update on the health condition of the victims in the stabbing attack. The Iowa Police Department tweeted, “Multiple victims confirmed. Police are searching for a suspect. Continue to be aware of your surroundings and avoid the area.” Earlier, the school also alerted through a tweet, "ICPD continues to investigate. Incident appears isolated. Resume normal activity but remain vigilant.” The police appealed to the public for help and launched a number, reports KWWL.
