The episode centered around Julia Fox's mission to combat fast fashion and promote sustainability in the fashion industry. Breanna, Padina, and Brittany were each given access to a variety of plastic waste materials, including bottles, bags, and packaging. Their challenge was to transform these materials into stylish and eco-friendly outfits fit for the runway. With limited time and resources, the disruptors had to innovate and experiment with unconventional techniques to bring their visions to life.

Throughout the episode, viewers witnessed the designers' creative processes as they transformed plastic trash into fashion masterpieces. Breanna, Padina, and Brittany showcased their ingenuity and craftsmanship, utilizing cutting-edge techniques to manipulate and style the materials into cohesive ensembles.

Padina Bondar-Gibbs was given tampons to upcycle on 'OMG Fashun'

On 'OMG Fashun', Padina Bondar-Gibbs faced the challenge of upcycling tampons, among other materials, into a fashion-forward creation. In addition to tampons, Padina had access to a variety of unconventional materials, including straws, bubble wrap, and scrap fabrics. Her task was to transform these items, typically discarded as waste, into wearable art pieces.

Despite the unique challenge, Padina approached it with creativity and resourcefulness. She leveraged the absorbent and structural properties of tampons to incorporate them into her design. Specifically, she utilized tampons as stiff structural elements, allowing them to hold various components of her garment in place. Padina's previous experience working with tampons in structural work gave her confidence in their versatility as a design material.

In addition to tampons, Padina utilized straws for their cylindrical shape and flexibility, incorporating them into her design for added texture and visual interest. Bubble wrap, despite initially being overlooked by Padina, eventually became part of her creation, serving as inspiration for a leaf-inspired motif.
