LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix has just dropped the explosive documentary featuring Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle. With this new tell-all tale, the pair hopes to give a deeper insight into the “clandestine days” of their relationship. The six-part docuseries also features never before seen photos and videos of the couple from their private library and details about their courtship. Prince Harry and Meghan have taken the opportunity to share many private details, including talking about their experience as part of the royal family.

Discussing his old life at Buckingham Palace, the prince recalled details about his mother, Diana, the late Princess of Wales. He discussed his mother’s charismatic personality and how she was fiercely protective of her children. Harry also recalled the constant harassment that Diana had faced and the effects it had on her. He said claimed that the same “baggage” followed him around and that anyone he dated had all their information splattered on the front of newspapers and their lives turned upside down. Harry claimed to have been terrified of Meghan being driven away from him because of the media. But this caused the pair to get to know each other better while keeping things on the down low. And on that journey, the prince claimed that he found Meghan to be like his mother, Diana.

Harry is heard saying in the documentary, “So much of what Meghan is, and how she is, is so similar to my mum.” He continues to compare his wife with his mother by adding, “She has the same compassion, she has the same empathy, she had the same confidence, she has this warmth about her.” Harry’s admission about finding a partner who shares his mother's traits received all kinds of reactions from netizens. Several Twitter users were irked that he compared Meghan to the late “people’s princess,” as one person wrote, “He just literally compared Meghan with Diana. LOL. Harry thinks he is with his mum. This is strange.” Another chimed in to add, “Meghan does not resemble his mum in any way. It is worrying because he thinks she does.”

One social media user was mortified and expressed, “Very strange....Megan and Diana are in NO WAY comparable. Diana had class and style. Megan hasn’t. Diana was the people’s princess”... she cared deeply for both her boys, while Megan hates one and uses the other. Had Diana lived, there would be no place for someone like Megan.” Another viewer thought the prince’s statement was “strange,” as well, tweeting, “Yup Harry is strange comparing NutMeg to his mother.” An appalled user also called it an insult to the late princess, penning, “What an INSULT to our beloved Diana.” And a netizen harshly critiqued the statement by writing, “Diana didn’t like being centre of attention … … #MeghanMarkle CLEARLY froths it. Don’t lie! “Capable to withstand?!” Bro c’mon Harry, your smarter than this!”
