Zach Braff, Bette Midler and other celebs slam Pence over VP debate with Harris: 'Homophobic fascist sycophant'
Many celebrities decided to take aim at Vice President Mike Pence during the vice-presidential debate which took place on Wednesday, October 7. Several celebrities including the likes of 'Scrubs' actor Zach Braff, Billy Eichner, Bette Midler, and Adam Goldberg were amongst those who slammed Pence and chose to take to social media platforms such as Twitter to criticize Pence and his wife, Breitbart reports. Braff took to Twitter and wrote, "I really don’t like this fella. And not just cause he’s a homophobic fascist sycophant." While comedian Billy Eichner referred to the vice president as a "fucking homophobe" besides calling Pence's wife a "bigot".
Eichner took to Twitter to write in all caps, "THE WHITE HOUSE ITSELF IS A FUCKING COVID HOTSPOT GO HOME WITH YOUR BIGOT WIFE YOU FUCKING HOMOPHOBE." Adam Goldberg also shared, "We've always known he was on the DL, but that load in the eye he took finally confirms it."

Bradley Whitford proceeded to compare Pence to "a priest telling you it’s okay to take your pants off." The 'West Wing' star had taken to Twitter to share, "Pence has the aw-shucks nonchalance of a priest telling you it's okay to take your pants off. Without the moral stature." Bette Midler who also echoed the same sentiments had written, "#mikepence is a mealymouthed loyalist. This administration did nothing to help people get through this pandemic, NOTHING. He should hang his head in shame. I hope this follows him forever."
"This fly is the equivalent to a poop nugget falling out of his pants mid debate. It says it all. It’s Trump throwing paper towels. It’s Trump saying shithole countries. It’s Trump staring at an eclipse. It’s Trump getting spanked by Stormy Daniels after his wife gives birth," Judd Apatow shared.

We had earlier reported that Democratic vice presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris slammed Pence during the debate telling the Republican that she will not be lectured by him over criminal justice reform. Many social media users accused Pence of 'mansplaining'. Mansplaining, a pejorative term, means to explain something to a woman in a condescending, overconfident or oversimplified manner. Harris told Pence, "I will not sit here and be lectured by the vice president on what it means to enforce the laws of our country."
She had made the comments after Pence noted that she prosecuted trials on several issues that range from child sexual assault to homicide. Many social media users backed Harris up and took to slamming Pence. One such user wrote, "The @VP @Mike_Pence lost the #VPDebate if only because all I'm seeing on Twitter are memes and jokes about the fly on his head and him spending half the night mansplaining racism and law to @KamalaHarris, a former DA who is the child of a Black father and an Indian mother."
Another commented and shared, "I don't think VP Pence’s mansplaining and over-talking is doing a lot to narrow the gender gap, unless it is also turning off more men as well." While a third added, "I wonder how Mike Pence, mansplaining lies while cutting off Kamala Harris when it is her turn to speak, is going to play with voters? Hmmm."
