Woman who had 17 abortions in six years told she may never be able to have children in future
A 27-year-old woman in China has been told by doctors that she will never be able to have children of her own after it was found that she had 17 abortions in the span of six years. The doctors say that the woman, who has been named only as Xiao Ju, may now be completely infertile because her uterus has been left so badly damaged after all the procedures. Dr. Zhao Qin, the head of gynecology at Shiyan Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital said that she had begged the young mother to keep the child because it may be the last time she may get to be a mother.
The pregnant young woman, however, insisted on the procedure instead and left Zhao and her colleagues no choice but to perform the surgery. The procedure was the mother's 17th abortion in only six years, reported Mirror Online.
