PENNSYLVANIA: A former teacher's aide was sentenced to five years in prison for having sex with a 13-year-old special needs girl.

The child is hopeful that the accused will rot behind bars for taking her "happiness away".

Jean Pierre Larue, 36, was given a five to twelve-year prison sentence on Wednesday after he pled guilty in April.

Larue pled guilty to felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child less than 16 while employed at the Ferguson K-8 school in York, reported York Dispatch.

The victim told the authorities that the abuse had taken place over a span of three months starting in September.

She also blasted the man in a scathing victim impact statement which she had written with the help of her therapist.

The letter was read in court by her mother.

The victim had written, "You make me sick. You took my happiness away."

The teenager had initially mistaken Larue's advances as love but eventually understood that he was just "taking advantage of a girl", the letter continued.

The girl added that she is now unable to form/maintain close relationships. "You stole that from me. I hope you rot in jail because that’s where disgusting abusers like you belong," she continued.

The child's mother also called out Larue for taking "everything" from her child. "You destroyed your family. You destroyed my family. You’re just sick," she shared.

The victim had earlier told the police that she had sex with Larue at his house where he also performed oral sex on her, the court documents revealed.

A month after pleading guilty, Larue was fired by the York City School District.

He did not speak in court during Wednesday's proceeding.

Due to his conviction, he will no longer be able to work in public schools.

A district statement provided by spokeswoman ShaiQuana Bailey reveals that the district "fully cooperated" with the investigators and had taken "appropriate action."
