Mother raped her son and daughter for over a decade to please perverted husband
A mother who was accused of raping her children repeatedly to please her perverted husband has finally been sentenced to nine years behind bars. The 51-year-old unnamed woman from Queensland, Australia, sexually abused her son when he was 15 years old and her daughter when she was just 10 years old. The horrifying abuse lasted for more than 10 years and was mostly carried out by the children's father, who is now deceased.
The Weekly Times reported that the mother, who had "Stockholm Syndrome", joined in with the abuse when the man asked her to because she wanted to avoid a divorce. On February 7, the mother pleaded guilty to seven counts of rape at the Maryborough District Court and was sentenced to nine years in jail with the chance for parole in four years time.
The daughter, who is now in her 20s and who was abused by her mother from the age of 10, was seen weeping in the courtroom. The court also heard how she would plead with her mother to stop and even push her face away. Sometimes her mother would sit by and watch her father rape her before she offered the girl tissues to clean herself up.
The girl was also allegedly forced to watch pornography and was blackmailed into performing various sex acts. She would cry as she asked why this was happening to her and also told the court that she had been scarred for life after her traumatic childhood.
The girl's brother was also raped regularly by his mother in the weeks shortly before their father died. Before the final time he was raped in 2016, the man told his son, "this is the last time that you'll have to do this." The children have other siblings who also say they were abused but the charges were only laid in connection to the two children. After the death of their father, the girl confided in her other siblings about the abuse and one sister told her, "similar things happened to me when I was living with mum and dad" but that she "blocked them out".
When authorities searched through the deceased father's cell phone, they found the youngest boy dressed only in a G-string.
A psychiatrist had since cleared the mother of any mental illness and said that her relationship with her husband was something compared to Stockholm Syndrome, a situation where the victim falls in love with their kidnapper.
Judge David Reid said that the case was definitely "chilling" and that this was the worst he had ever seen. He also told the court that the mother did not have any sympathy or remorse for what she did to her own children. He said: "Quite frankly, it's disgusting. You're largely unsympathetic towards your children."
