Woman bludgeoned flatmate to death and dismembered him for killing her beloved cat
A 41-year-old woman bludgeoned her male flatmate to death with a hammer and dismembered his body after he killed her cat.
As reported by the DailyMail, the Russian woman, identified as Anastasia Kh, allegedly cut up the man's body using a handsaw and stuffed the remains into five plastic bags, which she tried to dispose of by taking them three miles away and burning them. Anastasia, who is unemployed, has been detained as part of the investigation.
The woman drew suspicion after she was seen taking several journeys by a local minibus to a site located three miles away in the Kirov district of St Petersburg. She then burned the bags in sand, law enforcement officials revealed.
The burnt bags were found by a man who had been walking his dog. The man called the police and reported the suspicious objects. Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that when the bags were opened and checked by the authorities, they found leg bones, ribs, one shoulder, parts of the victim's pelvis and human skin.
A Russian investigative committee released a statement saying, "She hit him with a hammer on the head. She also kicked him multiple times. Having killed him, the woman suspect dismembered the body."
According to REN TV, two other residents in the building where the pair lived shared that they had no idea that she had murdered the man. The police revealed that the two had been on bad terms for a long time and would often fight since she blamed him for killing her beloved pet cat.
There were blood spots from the dead man discovered inside the apartment where the two lived. According to forensic experts, the woman had disposed off the victim's body in a "professional" manner.
