SOMERS, WISCONSIN: A man is facing homicide charges after allegedly beating his sex offender grandfather to death. Bryan Luitze II allegedly killed Charles Luitze at his home in the village of Somers, Wisconsin, on August 15 with a hammer and left the weapon buried in his head. As per The Sun, a police complaint stated that the 25-year-old accused had earlier shown his anger over the victim’s criminal activity for which he was convicted in 1991.

Bryan reportedly told an unidentified male relative, “How can you forgive him?" He also said to the relative that he was thinking about “taking [his grandfather] out” because he could not forgive “someone like that”. The complaint mentioned that a friend of the accused told investigators that he "hated" Charles because of his wrongdoing.

Reports said that Bryan was born after Charles’ conviction and he was not his victim. As a child only, he saw his grandfather. The police report stated that the male relative of the suspect told him it had been a "long time and it’s over" and that Charles had "paid his debt to society". But it seemed Bryan was not over it as he reportedly went to the 70-year-old victim’s house on August 13 while posing as a Census worker. The grandfather also reportedly said to a friend that the visit left him frightened as the accused failed to show any identification.

The body of Charles was found two days later. Detectives found the body lying on the bed while the hammer was sticking out of his head. The victim’s bedroom was splattered with blood. On October 30, Bryan was charged with first-degree intentional homicide while he was behind bars at the Kenosha County Jail for allegedly violating probation related to a previous conviction. He has held for the current charges at a $1million bond. Prosecutors said at a hearing that DNA evidence from a bag found stained with blood at Bryan’s home associated him with the murder. They also added that the conversations between the accused and the relative hinted at a “level of premeditation”.

While a lawyer representing Bryan blamed other people for killing Charles. The lawyer said that there was a possibility that other people had used the bag. Assistant District Attorney Andrew Bergoyne said, “It’s a particularly chilling homicide. The mechanism of murder here with the hammer blows bludgeoning the victim in the middle of the face is noteworthy.”

In another incident that happened in California, a man allegedly killed his grandmother before eating the dead body. Dwayne Wallick allegedly killed Ruby Wallick with a knife and an ice pick before ripping off her flesh with his hands and eating it. Reports stated that police arrived at the address after the victim’s daughter came across the grisly crime scene and informed them. Richmond Police spokesman Sgt. Aaron Pomeroy gave the description as he said, “I’ve seen it all but in 26 years of law enforcement, I have never seen a crime scene of a victim that badly injured”.
