LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Bridgerton' fans may have been disappointed with Kate and Anthony's swift exit at the beginning of Season 3, but there's hope that these beloved characters aren't gone for good. After a tumultuous love story in Season 2, Kate (Simone Ashley) and Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) return in Season 3, Episode 1, still basking in their honeymoon bliss.

The episode features the couple enjoying a few steamy moments, clearly still very much in love. However, their honeymoon phase isn't ready to end, as Kate suggests they return to their honeymoon instead of taking on the responsibilities of running the Bridgerton household.

Anthony agrees, and the couple disappears from the remaining episodes of Season 3, Part 1, much to the disappointment of many fans. However, soon they return in Part 2 with wonderful news, Kate is pregnant.

With the end of Season 3 revealing that Kate is pregnant and has traveled to India, there's a strong possibility that Anthony and Kate may return in Season 4 or future seasons. Here’s what we know about their potential return.

When asked if Anthony and Kate's decision to travel to India means they won't be seen on 'Bridgerton' anymore, showrunner Jess Brownell shared some reassuring news. Despite their journey to India to visit Kate's loved ones, this isn't the end for their characters on the show.

Brownell told EW, "No. I very much intend and hope to see more of Johnny and Simone. We love them so much, and they're both so incredibly talented we want to support their ability to do other projects, while still leaving the door open for them to return when and if they're able. So the India send-off is a plot device in certain ways that allows us to leave the door open."

The India storyline serves as a plot device that keeps the door open for their return. This means that while Anthony and Kate may be absent for now, there is a strong possibility of their return in future seasons. Fans can remain hopeful that these beloved characters will reappear, continuing to enrich the 'Bridgerton' narrative with their captivating presence.

After their marriage, Kate and Anthony Bridgerton embark on a fulfilling journey, starting a family of their own with four children: Edmund, Miles, Charlotte, and Mary. Edmund, named after Anthony’s father, was born in 1815, a year after their wedding.

Although the exact timeline of the births remains unclear, the show may depict Kate's pregnancy in Bridgerton Season 3, emphasizing its significance for the Bridgerton family. As the years pass, Kate and Anthony’s bond only deepens.

Fifteen years into their marriage, they remain as competitive and playful as ever, particularly during the Bridgerton family’s annual pall-mall game. Their enduring love is marked by constant teasing, flirting, and a profound mutual attraction.

This dynamic showcases a couple who not only cherish their time together but have also grown stronger in their relationship, exemplifying a love that thrives and evolves. Fans can expect to see this enduring romance and the joy of their growing family reflected in the continuing seasons of Bridgerton.

'Bridgerton' is available for streaming on Netflix.
