Initially, investigators suspected a home invasion gone wrong, as there were signs of forced entry through a window screen. However, further examination revealed that no valuables were taken from the home, leading authorities to suspect foul play.
As the investigation unfolded, detectives uncovered disturbing details about the couple's troubled marriage. Despite outward appearances, Tiffany and David Andre were struggling with marital issues, with Tiffany reportedly planning to divorce him. David Andre initially denied any knowledge of the problems in their marriage but later admitted to difficulties.
Suspicion grew when phone records revealed that David Andre was in contact with his best friend, Adrian Harley, around the time of Tiffany's murder. Harley's phone records placed him near the crime scene at the time of the murder. Further investigation uncovered financial motives, as David Andre was attempting to secure the mortgage on their home after Tiffany's death.
Eventually, David Andre was arrested and charged with Tiffany's murder. During the trial, he attempted to shift the blame onto Harley, claiming that Tiffany owed him money. However, evidence pointed to David Andre's involvement in orchestrating the murder.
In September 2018, David Andre was convicted of Tiffany's murder and sentenced to life in prison. Subsequently, in October 2022, Adrian Harley was also convicted and sentenced to life in prison for his role in the crime.
