LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Bachelorette' Season 20 star Charity Lawson is all set for the upcoming one-on-one as well as group dates that might possibly give her a new stronger connection. However, the star appears a bit unsure about one of her suitors after realizing he reminds her of a past relationship.
Charity, who is down to 10 suitors on her journey to find her future partner, confessed that she has some doubts regarding Xavier Bonner, and it's all because of her past. As 'The Bachelor' franchise viewers may recall, she had admitted to Zach Shallcross on his season that her previous beau had been unfaithful.
Charity Lawson enjoys a one-on-one date with Xavier Bonner
In the upcoming episode of 'The Bachelorette' Season 20, Charity will be seen sharing a romantic one-on-one date with Xavier, a biomedical scientist from Carrboro, North Carolina. The duo traveled to chilly Oregon in a new 'Bachelorette' location, as seen in the preview clip by Parade. It also shows Charity meeting her suitor in scenic Hood River, Oregon, and she soon declares to the cameras, "I have a one-on-one date with Xavier" at a fruit festival. Xavier greets Charity with a hug, asking her how she was doing. He complimented her, saying, "You look so cute!"
During a confessional, Charity stated that she wants her date to just be fun and that she felt like her connection with Xavier was very strong. She further noted that while he can easily be a boyfriend, Charity was unsure if he could reach the husband level. Meanwhile, Xavier is seen being excited about their date and proceeds to tell the cameras, "I've never been to a fruit festival before, but this couldn’t be a more perfect location with a more perfect girl." Later in the preview, Charity and Xavier are seen taking their shoes off to climb into wood barrels together in an interesting attempt to stomp pears so that they can be made into jam.

Soon after the activity, the coveted bachelorette noted that they were indeed having fun. She gushed about Xavier, saying, "He’s being a great sport at everything." The duo is even seen cozying up on a train ride together through the town. However, Charity did admit her doubt about the suitor in confessional, stating, "I think why I’m so on edge is Xavier reminds me a little bit of my ex." "We have a connection, but is it strong enough? That’s the thing. And I think, will I have that answer by tonight? I’m not sure," she added.
Xavier may not have received Charity's First Impression Rose during the show's premiere, but he did manage to acquire her first kiss. He even gifted a scarf to Charity which was knitted to him as a sweet gesture. Although it's clear that Xavier joined 'The Bachelorette' to find love and possibly engaged to Charity, viewers have to wait to see if he manages to get past the doubts expressed by the star.
