LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ABC’s chat show ‘The View’ is always filled with lively moments. Be it the angry wrath of Whoopi Goldberg or the political debates between Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Joy Behar, the show never fails to entertain its viewers with its diverse discussions. Recently, host Sarah Haines livened up the proceedings with her quirky behavior in one of the segments.

The ABC anchor, 45, was a part of the ‘Favorite Things’ segment on Thursday’s (June 22) episode. In this segment, Goldberg, Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Behar, and Haines disclosed their current favorite products to the fans and talk about their costs and more. Haines picked up a reusable water balloon and was about to aim at Goldberg who instantly reprimanded her. After which, she changed the course of the balloon and threw it at a producer.

‘Don’t even think about it’

During the ‘Favourite Things’ segment, Haines was looking forward to promoting the products -- Primary UPF swimwear for children from Primary.com and Dartwood Reusable Water Balloons. She couldn’t resist and picked up the reusable water balloon that sat in a bowl of water on the set as she talked about it. Her intentions were clear. She just wanted to throw it at someone. Goldberg sensed Haines' intent and instantly said, “Don’t even think about it.” But that didn’t stop Haines from achieving her objective.

After Goldberg warned her, Haines threw the balloon at ‘The View’ producer Brian Theta. She unleashed three balloons at him, one after the other, much to the cheer of the studio audience. One completely missed him, the second one hit him but didn't break, and the last one splashed on his shirt. Brian couldn’t help but only smile on live TV.

Why did Sara Haines throw balloons at Brian Theta?

Haines is well aware of Whoopi’s anger. She knew if she dared to throw the balloon at her, she would have had an earful. But to fulfill her childish desire, she changed the trajectory of the balloon and threw them at Theta, the producer of the show. However, this wasn’t the first time that a host took a dig at him. A while ago, Hostin and Behar questioned Theta's wife Heather about their marriage.

Behar asked her about how long she was married to Theta and how many years of their marriage were great. Heather, who was sitting in the audience in the studio, replied that it has been great, forcing the hosts to say that maybe Theta has paid his wife to talk nicely about him.
