Why did Hall Toledano end his engagement? 'Temptation Island' Season 5 star claims he never loved Kaitlin Tufts

Hall Toledano said that he never had a real connection with Kaitlin Tufts and has found the one for him on the island

MAUI, HAWAII: Some heartbreaks are mandatory to discover one's truer self. However, it's probably not worth breaking an eight-year-long relationship. 'Temptation Island' Season 5 is about to unleash the drama as Hall Toledano dumps Kaitlin Tufts. It was surprising to see Hall break his engagement so easily, claiming that he was never in love with his fiance.

Hall has found his temptation on  'Temptation Island' and she is Makayla Halstead. Many wonder if Hall's words are true and whether Makayla is the reason for the split.

Why did Hall end his relationship with Kaitlin?

After the last episode's confrontation, Hall went to the girls' villa to have a face-to-face conversation with Kaitlin. Seeing Hall, Kaitlin instantly knew that there was something bad coming her way. She asked in fear, "What are you about to say?" Hall then went on to explain to Kaitlin, "I've always been lost," continuing, "I've never had a real emotional connection with you. And I have tried my entire life to find that connection." Hall looked Kaitlin in the eye as he said, "You were the best person that I have ever met in my entire life. So, I forced myself to go back to you." Hall said he believes he always lied to himself and taitlin about being in love with her. Claiming that he never loved Kaitlin, Hall also believed that he never saw true love in Kaitlin's eyes for himself. Hall broke off his engagement with Kaitlin, saying, "I'm not the one for you. You deserve so much better."

Has Hall found his true match on 'Temptation Island'?

When asked by Kaitlin, "So, you found someone in the house?" Hall replied with affirmation, confirming her fear. The one for Hall in the villa is Makayla. After breaking things with Kaitlin he went back to the boys' villa and took Makayla away for a talk. Confessing to Makayla that he broke things off with Kaitlin, he said, "You have shown me what I've been missing." He then went on to claim that he is no longer engaged but that does not mean he wants Makayla to feel pressured to build a relationship with him.

Hall later said in a confessional, "Today was a tough day and to come back to someone like Makayla makes me even more confused." He then explained, "I'm like, how am I this happy when 30 minutes ago I did the hardest thing in my life...Makayla makes me so happy that I can't help but smile." Hall is now clear about wanting to build a relationship with Makayla.

'Temptation Island' Season 5 releases new episodes every Wednesday at 9 pm ET on USA Network.
