'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 7 on Bravo: Who is Jason Gaskell? New deckhand was a financier
The highly anticipated 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 7 is all set to make its big premiere soon. So, get ready to watch some fresh boat romances, and erratic guest demands, as Captain Sandy Yawn sails the new luxury motor yacht Home along the picturesque waters of Malta.
If you were hoping to see the cast of Season 6 return to the Bravo show, then you may be in for some disappointment, as aside from Captain Sandy and deckhand Mzi Dempers, all the other crew members are new recruits. Making his big debut as the new deckhand is Jason Gaskell. Unlike most of his peers on the crew, Jason didn't start his career with a stint in the yachting industry. In fact, 'Below Deck Med's "Home" is the first superyacht he has ever worked on! So, will the rookie deckhand be able to keep up with the high-pressure demands of his job? Who is Jason Gaskell?
Before following his passion for sailing, Jason was working in finance and accounting. According to his Linkedin page, he set up his first company at the age of 15! His profile reads, "Finance professional with 5+ years of experience in the Energy Industry (Power). Experience in the following power markets: ERCOT, PJM, ISONE, MISO, NYISO, Canada, and Japan. 10+ years of experience across the following fields: Energy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Trading (Equities & Commodities), International Business, Corporate FP&A, Purchasing, Sales, Financial Services, Public Accounting, Auditing, and Instructing. I have gained a very broad and unique skill set that gives me an edge and has proven beneficial in many aspects of my life, both professionally and privately." "Managing expectations is an undervalued, and often overlooked, trait that I like to believe I have come to naturally keep at the forefront of thought. Coupling this with my background and vast skill set allows me to efficiently work and communicate throughout departments and all levels of the company," he states on his page.
During his 10 years in finance, he spent all his free time traveling and exploring the world, stumbling upon his passion for sailing. Since then, he has worked as an apprentice, dockhand, and captain for many companies. Jason is a jack of all trades, who’s also skilled in sewing and embroidery and enjoys making custom swimsuits for his friends. We can't wait to see this man of many talents take on the seas on 'Below Deck Med'.
'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 7 premieres on Monday, July 11 at 8/7c on Bravo. Peacock will offer early access to Season 7 with new episodes dropping one-week early beginning Monday, July 4.
