NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The CEO of Blumhouse Productions, Jason Blum's wife, Lauren Schuker Blum, is a successful screenwriter, and her latest project was 'Dumb Money'. However, Jason recently cracked a joke about how his marriage was briefly in trouble all because of the Taylor Swift Effect.
During an episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jason revealed that his film 'The Exorcist: Believer' was scheduled to release in the middle of October. Unfortunately, that's also the date Taylor chose to release her movie version of her Eras Tour.
And she announced it just eight weeks before 'The Exorcist' was set to hit screens. 'The Exorcist: Believer' was then pushed up to October 6, which clashed with the release of his wife, Lauren's film, 'Dumb Money', scheduled to come out on the same date.
Jason joked, "So not only did Taylor Swift destroy my Friday the 13th, she almost caused me to get divorced."
Lauren has also worked as a staff writer in Los Angeles for The Wall Street Journal, specializing in features and real estate articles.
She graduated from Harvard and received a master's degree in the history of art from the Courtauld Institute in London.
Lauren is known for her projects, 'Wolfman' (2010) and 'Orange Is the New Black' (2013), and her latest Hollywood movie 'Dumb Money' (2023).

Lauren Schuker and Jason Blum exchanged vows in 2012 at a house in Petaluma, California owned by the bridegroom. According to the New York Times, the officiant was Rev. Lili Goodman Freitas, a minister affiliated with the Church of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness in Los Angeles.
They stayed married and have thrived in their relationship as well as their careers.
Notably, the couple also owns Blumhouse, a film production company in Los Angeles that has produced the 'Paranormal Activity' film series along with 'Insidious'.

Jason Blum and Lauren Schuker share three kids together. The couple welcomed their third child, a daughter named Bette Sue Blum, in 2021.

Jason Blum is all set to appear in Shark Tank' Season 15 as a guest investor. The new episode of the ABC show would celebrate 'Shark-O-Ween' with Halloween-focused pitches.
Along with fun costumes, a set revamp and themed pitches, the ABC show also brought guest shark, Jason. He would be joined by Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, and Lori Greiner.
He noted to ABC, "It's a very very busy month, and it's a spectacular experience to be on Shark-O-Ween."
