Scott McGillivray owns property near 'Vacation House Rules' shooting locations

The renovation expert actually owns property near one of the show's shooting locations, Kawartha Lakes. Most of the episodes have been filmed around the cities of Ontario and living close to clients helps him to understand his clients' problems better.
