Realtor and business owner Davina Thomasula and her life partner Kristin Leitheuser tackle renovation projects in the upcoming show 'Small Town Potential.' The latest HGTV show will feature eight thrilling episodes with stirring renovations which will keep the viewers hooked to their seats.
The premiere season was previously scheduled to be released in 2023 but the new show was scheduled for March 2024 due to unanticipated reasons. However, 'Small Town Potential' was also filmed in Marlboro, Kingston and Pawling. However, Davina and Kristin reflected on the location of the HGTV show. Designer Davina along with her contractor husband Kristin will help the families to settle down in a new town by finding, buying, and renovating promising properties in a cozy upstate New York town.

However, Davina recently gushed about 'Small Town Potential' location in the latest interview with HGTV.
The real estate agent said, "The Hudson Valley is full of unique and beautiful towns nestled along the Hudson River." Davina added, "So many people are moving here because each town has a lot to offer and so much potential. I'm a real estate agent and designer who finds these upstate newcomers just the house they're looking for." However, 'Small Town Potential' will kick off with Davina and Kristin as they help a couple to find and renovate an 1800s-era farmhouse with lots of acreages for their daughter to explore in Marlboro, New York. Later, they head over to a neighboring art community, Kingston, to transform a drab attic into a serene artist studio.

HGTV couple Davina Thomasula and Kristin Leitheuser will host 'Small Town Potential' Season 1. The duo have been engaged for more than five years but still struggled to find the perfect wedding date. Davina pursued broadcast journalism and wanted to be an on-air meteorologist. However, she ended up in hospitality for 20 years before becoming a real estate agent.
Meanwhile, Kristin earned a business degree but her love for 'woodworking' pushed her to follow in the footsteps of her contractor dad. Kristin reflected on her first meeting with her life partner. She shared, "After college, I played on a New York City area recreational basketball team and once, after a game, we went to a bar because someone knew the bartender, who turned out to be Davina!" She added, "I played it safe and ordered a Guinness and the rest is history."

Unlike other renovation shows, 'Small Town Potential' will explore the beauty of a town in New York. In each episode of the HGTV show, Davina will devise a timeless design plan complemented by the area's natural surroundings that Kristin will bring to life with the help of her dad and building partner, Don. Davina and Kristin are no strangers to the region as they grew up in a neighborhood that favors them to find houses easily. However, Davina has teased to not expect to see any 'open concept' floor plans on the latest HGYV show. 'Small Town Potential' features older homes where there's "no reason to knock down walls everywhere." Davina and Kristin prefer to restore things to their original form, and that "often means appreciating the past and keeping rooms separate."
