Where are members of Fleetwod Mac now? Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll over 50 crazy years
LONDON, UK: Few musical groups have managed to remain active for as long as Fleetwood Mac has. They have gone through hiatuses, difficulties, and lineup changes, but overall they have managed to preserve the essence of the legendary '70s band for many years.
Even though Fleetwood Mac have had trouble maintaining a stable roster, they are nonetheless well-remembered today. Fleetwood Mac, a British blues band that later developed into a massively successful Anglo-American pop-rock group, has inspired 'Daisy Jones & the Six', an upcoming Prime Video series based on a fictional, dramatic ’70s rock band.

The originals and thereafter
The original members were Mick Fleetwood (June 24, 1947), John McVie (November 26, 1945), Peter Green (original name Peter Greenbaum, October 29, 1946, London - July 25, 2020), and Jeremy Spencer (July 4, 1948).
Later members included Danny Kirwan (May 13, 1950 - June 8, 2018), Christine McVie (original name Christine Perfect, July 12, 1943 - November 30, 2022), Bob Welch (August 31, 1945 - June 7, 2012), Stevie Nicks (May 26, 1948) and Lindsey Buckingham (October 3, 1947).
What are the former members doing these days?
Bob Brunning spent a year in Savoy Brown after quitting the group before starting a career as a teacher. He tragically passed away on October 18, 2011, at the age of 68, from a heart attack.
Peter Green was their first lead guitarist. Green quit the band in 1970 because of his drug addiction, and he was later given a schizophrenia diagnosis. His current band, Peter Green Splinter Group, was founded in 1997. Jeremy Spencer was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac in 1967. Yet he almost gave up his singing career when he and his wife enrolled in the "Children of God" religious movement.
Danny Kirwan joined in 1968 but was let go due to his drinking issues in 1972. Afterwards, he took the risk to pursue a solo career, which he did until the late 1970s, before abandoning up. Fleetwood Mac welcomed Bob Welch in 1971. He shot himself in the chest on June 7, 2012, to end his life.
After Kirwan was expelled, Dave Walker took his position. In 1977–1978, he briefly joined Black Sabbath. His current occupation is leading his own band. Bob Weston, similar to Walker, got fired due to an affair he had with Mick’s wife. He died on January 3, 2012, from a gastrointestinal hemorrhage. For a moment, Lindsey Buckingham was replaced by Billy Burnette. He also had a brief acting career. After the 1990 release of "Beyond the Mask," Rick Vito quit Fleetwood Mac to concentrate on his solo career. Since then, he has been able to release 12 albums.
Dave Mason was one of the best guitarists to ever play with the Mac. Between 1993 and 1995, he was a member of Fleetwood Mac together with singer Bekka Bramlett. He's still touring and putting out new music. Bekka Bramlett joined the group in 1995. She now has a consistent job singing backup on a tonne of rock, country, and blues songs.
Together with his then-girlfriend Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1974. He left in 1987 but came back in 1996 when the original lineup was reassembled. However, according to recent rumors, a dispute over the band's future tour is what led to Buckingham's firing in April 2019.
