LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Touted as the biggest show of the year, ‘The Last of Us’ is already turning out to be a show that might get a lot of accolades in the upcoming awards season. The show, based on the video game series of the same name by Naughty Dog, primarily focuses on the lives of Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) who are stuck together after a fungal infection named Cordyceps takes over the entire world and turns them into zombies. The game was a massive hit when its first edition came out in 2013 and sold more than 1.3 million copies in just 7 days of its release. So, it doesn’t come as a shock that HBO took a chance of adapting it for television.

The premiere episode stayed true to the source material and included sequences that were straight from the video game. However, the second episode included some changes in the storyline and gave a unique perspective to it. But fans are not complaining because the execution has been scintillating so far and things can only go upward from the point beyond.
