Hulu's official release confirms 'Tell Me Lies' Season 3 Episode 5 is titled 'I'd Like to Hold Her Head Under Water'. The episode will feature a pool party where rumors start to circulate about Lucy. Meanwhile, Bree looks back at her childhood in search of answers. Hulu's official episode description states, "Gossip spirals around Lucy at a pool party. Bree seeks answers from her childhood," as per On The Flix.

The initial 'Tell Me Lies' Season 3 episodes begin by pushing Lucy and Stephen DeMarco's (Jackson White) toxic relationship to new extremes. After briefly reconciling, Stephen manipulates Lucy, threatening to expose her secret hookup with Evan (Branden Cook) unless she records a false confession about her assault. Lucy had no choice but to comply, creating evidence that could ruin her future. The tension reaches its boiling point in episode 3 when Lucy engages in a dark and emotionally charged encounter with Alex (Costa D'Angelo).

In 'Tell Me Lies' Season 3 Episode 4, Lucy lets her impulses guide her, plunging further into emotional turmoil. After the fallout of episode 3, she impulsively agrees to a date with Alex, who quickly eases her nerves and reassures her that he won't judge her. Lucy's night gets complicated when she sees Max (Edmund Donovan) on a date. Confessing her past mistreatment to Alex, she's urged to apologise to Max, while Stephen watches from the sidelines, scheming his next move. Reeling from Diana's (Alicia Crowder) rejection, Stephen targets Lucy by involving Caitie (Taia Sophia), who decides to file a complaint against Chris.

Lucy is scared and doesn't want to testify. Stephen then posts about them online, but even with Bree's support, Lucy listens to Diana and stays quiet, as per Fandom Wire. Bree appears unsettled after her confrontation with Oliver (Tom Ellis), hinting at a deeper secret. While Wrigley (Spencer House) offers support during a visit, her lingering discomfort suggests Oliver's words have affected her more than she lets on. The story then shifts to 2015, showing Bree and Evan married and sharing their first dance. Stephen tries to cause trouble but fails, as Lucy dismisses his concerns, and Bree asserts that one mistake shouldn't define a life, leaving Stephen unsettled. His suspicions grow as he discovers evidence on Wrigley's phone, suggesting Bree may be hiding a secret that could soon surface.
