The viewers will have to wait a while before the new episode of ‘Ghosts’ Season 5 releases. For the unversed, let us share with you that the CBS sitcom has been adapted from the original British series of the same name by Joe Port and Joe Wisman. The show’s storyline primarily revolves around married New Yorkers Samantha Arondekar (Rose Mclver) and Jay Arondekar (Utkarsh Ambudkar), whose dreams come true after they inherit Woodstone Manor, a beautiful country house, from Sam’s aunt Sophie Brimble. However, things take a turn for the worse when the couple finds out the house is inhabited by ghosts of people from different eras of American history who died on the property. Jay cannot see or hear the ghosts, but Sam can, following a near-death experience.

The first season of ‘Ghosts’ saw the light of day on October 7, 2021. Considering the great feedback from the viewers, the show was renewed for a second season in January 2022, which premiered on September 29, 2022. It was renewed for a third season in January 2023, which was released on February 15, 2024. CBS gave a green signal to the show for a fourth season in March 2024, and it premiered on October 17, 2024. ‘Ghosts’ was renewed for a fifth and sixth season earlier this year in February. The fifth season of ‘Ghosts’ dropped on October 16, 2025.

According to a report by ScreenRant, the fans of the fantasy series will not get to see a new episode of ‘Ghosts’ on November 27, 2025, as most of the CBS programs are going on a small hiatus. At the time of writing, the official reason behind this break is unknown. However, it seems that the show is taking a small break in light of the Thanksgiving holiday this week. Instead of a brand new episode of ‘Ghosts,’ the fans will get to see an NCAA game between Duke and Arkansas on Thursday night, as per the network’s schedule. The match will kickstart at 8 pm ET, and it is expected to run through 10 pm, which means that it will cover not only ‘Ghosts’ Season 5’s half an hour slot from 8:30 to 9 pm ET, but it will also affect the release of ‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ Season 2 and ‘Matlock’ Season 2.

In case you’re wondering, ‘Ghosts’ Season 5 Episode 7, which has been titled ‘The Proposal,’ will hit your television screens on December 4, 2025. The synopsis for the forthcoming episode reads, “Sam helps Eric plan the perfect proposal for Bela, until an encounter with Sasappis plants doubt in Bela's mind.” So, mark your calendars and don’t forget to watch the seventh episode of ‘Ghosts’ Season 5 on December 4, 2025, only on CBS.
