'The Masked Singer' Season 10 introduces 'Ding Dong Keep It On Bell' twist to raise stakes for contestants
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Masked Singer's 'Ding Dong Keep it On Bell' is a feature that allows a judge to save a contestant of their choice from elimination.
In previous seasons, judges were allowed to ring the bell three times each. But, it could only be rung once per group.
With the masked singers being divided into 3 groups, one singer from each group could potentially be saved with the help of the Ding Dong Keep it On Bell.
The ones who are saved then face off in a special redemption episode, where two are unmasked and the winner joins the rest of the 'survivors' who haven't been unmasked.
But FOX is changing up things — in Season 10, the Ding Dong Keep it On Bell can only be used in the Battle Royale semi-final episodes.
The judge in the Battle Royale can choose to save only one contestant from elimination, moving them directly to the finale.
