LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: South African movies and TV series don’t often get the recognition they deserve, but Netflix is out to change that. ‘Fatal Seduction’ is Netflix’s upcoming series which is set in Cape Town. It follows the events of a wild weekend getaway. There’s plenty to look forward to when it comes to ‘Fatal Seduction’ but don’t confuse it with the infamous classic ‘Fatal Attraction’ which was recently turned into a series.
In addition to an intriguing plot, ‘Fatal Seduction’ boasts a stellar cast that includes Kgomotso Christopher, Thapelo Mokoena, Lunathi Mampofu, Prince Grootboom, and Nat Ramabulana among several others. ‘Fatal Seduction’ has been adapted from the Mexican series 'Dark Desire’ but adds its own seductive spin to it.
What is the plot of ‘Fatal Seduction’?
The plot of ‘Fatal Seduction’ is simple yet complex, which might seem ironic but 14 episodes should clear that doubt. The upcoming Netflix series follows the lead Nandi Mahlati on a weekend getaway with her best friend Brenda. Nandi wants more from love and life, and this, along with her best friend leads her astray. It doesn’t take long for Nandi to be seduced by a young man named Jacob, which eventually spirals into an extramarital affair. However, there’s a lot more to the story as things begin to unfold and Brenda wounds up dead.
Sometimes romance truly ends in tragedy and that’s what ‘Fatal Seduction’ is all about. Nandi is forced to take a look at her life and choices. As the mystery unravels, our main character doesn’t know whom she can trust anymore. ‘Fatal Seduction’ is about lust, life, passion, love, distrust, murder, and much more. Will Nandi’s love affair lead to her downfall?
