What happened to 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus? Fans slam soloist for going off-key during 'AGT' Season 18 finale
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: For their last performance on Season 18 of 'America's Got Talent,' the 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus sang 'Brother' by Need To Breathe.
Fans are sharing their emotions about the dreadful moment on social media, as one soloist attempted to hit a high note but utterly missed it.
The 82nd Airborne Chorus includes individuals from each of the country's 50 states. Their collective goal is to make the country, as well as their comrades' past, present, and future, proud.
Heidi Klum praised the trio for delivering the competition's greatest performance, while Sofia Vergara agreed that their "voices are getting better and better."
Simon Cowell believes the song they selected was an emotional decision that paid off, and he believes they had a moment.
However, on X, fans complained, "Judges are soft.. That last high note was brutal."
Another fan chimed in, "Simon is a leader in the music industry and had the audacity to claim the choir was his favorite act of the night even after multiple missed/pitchy notes. Shows how bias #AGT is and how votes or talent don’t matter, only views from sob stories."
Some users also noted, "I wonder if Simon is gonna rethink that statement when he watches the show back maybe that note didn’t sound the same in the theatre as it did at home lolll."
A user wrote, "Um guys -- did you HEAR that soloist's note??? "Best performance EVER"?!?!"

On Reddit, some users also slammed the musical group, "Ooh, one of the singers from 82nd Airborne went off key. It won't matter 'cause 'Merica... Maybe it was their best performance, it wasn't THE best performance. Eff you Simon, that was NOT the best performance of the night!!!!"
Another user chimed in, "Is every one of 82nd's songs gonna be about brotherhood/sisterhood? ugh And that note she just hit was AWFUL!!"
Others commented, "Eek. That note. Absolutely butchered it." "Ooh, that was a sour note," wrote another.
