What does the winner of 'Naked and Afraid XL' Season 10 receive? Survivors compete for pride and title of ultimate champion
COLOMBIA: 'Naked and Afraid XL' Season 10 is just around the corner! Following their successful completion of the 21-day challenges on 'Naked and Afraid', twelve courageous survivalists are gearing up to face a daunting 40-day survival mission in the unforgiving Colombian badlands.
With no access to food, water, or clothing, these participants will be put to the ultimate test as they push themselves to the limit in the upcoming season of Discovery Channel's 'Naked and Afraid XL' airing on Sunday, May 12 at 8 pm ET.
In this season, the stakes soar higher as the survivalists tackle the Proving Grounds of Naked and Afraid XL, where they'll encounter the most extreme challenges yet. On top of battling relentless mosquitoes, ants, ticks, and disease-carrying parasites, along with the looming threat of jaguars and a six-foot caiman, participants must now undertake a grueling 40-mile trek across six distinct terrains to reach the end of the challenge.
Facing scorching temperatures, violent storms that can dump up to six inches of rain in a single night, and the unrelenting pressure to establish themselves as the next generation of Naked and Afraid legends, these survivalists must summon all their strength and determination to endure.
The winner of 'Naked & Afraid XL' Season 10 does not receive any prize money, as contestants compete for pride and the title of ultimate champion instead. The only reward for participants is a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Kristi Russell, the casting director of the show confirmed in a 2015 interview with Channel Guide Magazine that there is no prize for participants on 'Naked and Afraid' by saying, “There is no prize.”
Discovery's 'Naked and Afraid' franchise has consistently refrained from offering any prize money. This might leave many wondering why contestants willingly subject themselves to such a rigorous ordeal without any reward.
Contrary to popular belief, the contestants on 'Naked and Afraid XL' do receive compensation for participating in the 60-day survival challenge, even though there is no prize money involved.
