'Furies' will be released worldwide and exclusively on Netflix on Tuesday, March 23, 2023. The film will have its US debut on March 12, 2023, at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

What is the plot of ‘Furies’?

The official synopsis of the movie reads, "Furies is a riveting tale of justice and vengeance set against the vivid background of Saigon in the 1990s. The film follows Bi, Thanh, and Hong, three fearless vigilantes who band together to bring down a dangerous crime organization commanded by the evil crime lord Hai. When the team of assassins infiltrates the subterranean crime organization to exact retribution, viewers will question if they have been duped into becoming weapons of wrath."

Who stars in ‘Furies’?

Veronica Ngo will reprise her role as Hai Phuong. Fans may recognize Ngo as Quynh from Netflix's superhero action flick 'The Old Guard'. She has also starred in movies such as 'Bright', 'Da 5 Bloods', and 'Crouching Tiger', and 'Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny' on Netflix. Several others actors also star alongside Ngo in the movie. Dong Anh Quynh portrays the role of Bi, while singer Toc Tien plays Thanh. Rima Thanh Vy plays Hong in the flick.

The forthcoming Vietnamese action-thriller 'Furies' is directed and co-written by 'Old Guard' actor Veronica Ngo. An exciting action-packed thriller that will be released exclusively in March 2023, 'Furies' will also introduce international audiences to a new wave of powerful Vietnamese female action heroes. "Even though fate pushes us down at the bottom of society, we can still rise and alter our destiny," said the director Veronica Ngo.
