What are Duggar's house rules? 'Counting On' stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar slammed over 'deeply unfair' guidelines
WASHINGTON, ARKANSAS: 'Counting On' family has been famous for their strict rules and living lifestyle. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were seen raising a family of 19 children with a conservative mindset. There were apparently restrictions on how to talk, how to dress, and even how to live life. Featuring the same, Duggar house guidelines now surface on the internet.
As the guidelines were shared on the internet, fans mocked the Duggar family's lifestyle. Even though there was nothing unusual about the Duggar family guidelines, fans believe that there is a hidden message in each one. One of the guidelines claims "never raise a hand to hit." To this, a user claimed, "never raise a hand to hit - unless an infant tries to leave a blanket." Internet finds the guidelines to be "abusive" and "gaslighting."

What are Duggar house guidelines?
An internet user shared the picture of the Duggar family guidelines on the Reddit thread with the title, "Duggar House (Abusive Gaslighting) Guidelines." The guidelines started with, "Always use soft words, even when you don't feel well." It further continued, "Always display kind actions and joyful attitudes, even if you have been mistreated. Have the right response by quickly forgiving others in your heart even before they ask." The guideline further claimed being enthusiastic, deflecting praise and being grateful to God, using manners and being respectful, doing what is right even when others may not, thanking God for how He made you, and never mocking or putting someone down.
The guideline had rules of never arguing, complaining, or blaming anyone. One of the guidelines claimed, "Have a tough accountability/prayer partner to daily share your heart with and to keep you in line (your parents, spouse). The power of sin is in secrecy." The other ones were to be attentive, look for ways to serve others, think pure, never raise a hand to hit, never raise a foot to kick, never raise an object to throw, never raise a voice to yell, and never raise an eye to scowl. One of the guidelines asked the Duggar family to share, and another asked them to remain neat, clean and organized. The remaining two guidelines said, "Never let the sun go down on your wrath. (Don’t go to bed angry or guilty)" and "Amendment J.O.Y. - Put Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last."

'Even if you have been mistreated'
The internet users slammed the Duggar guidelines claiming in the comment section, "Unfortunately, the most needed one." A user claimed, "Yes, they needed one that said, “Always respect the personal boundaries of another person without fail." Another user wondered whether to follow the guidelines, "Even if you have been mistreated." A user called the guidelines "deeply unfair," saying, "I can't imagine making it a house rule to demand specific thoughts and feelings (and prevent other emotions) from my child. That's so deeply unfair."

'This makes me want to vomit'
After reading the guidelines, a user claimed, "Wow. Imagine those girls feeling like they have to keep up a joyful attitude." To this, a user commented, "And be grateful for God "allowing" them to go through it in the first place." A user said, "This makes me want to vomit." One user said, "This is disgusting!"
