Scott and Lindsey's relationship have reached a point where they cannot seem to see each other eye to eye, let alone have a discussion about their issues. It began with Scott not finishing up the renovation work for their house. She was disappointed that he didn't keep the promise and now, she cannot live with her daughter because the rooms are not done yet.

However, things got out of hand, in the previous week's episode when Scott found out a note, which Lindsey claimed was a quote from a book she had been reading in prison. But Scott was not convinced and asked her to get him the book she took the excerpt from. When read with the context in mind, it seemed to Scott as if Lindsey had written down a detailed plan of siphoning money from him.

He continued to question her, which several fans and Lindsey thought was weird. Some even pointed out that the interrogation was unnecessary and that it showed how much of a "control freak" he is. They slammed Scott for being "defensive and domineering."

"He’s trying to get her to submit to him by implying he’s going to kick her out !!! Scott you are true scum !!! You tried to force yourself on a client and your ass got fired !! He’s a sexual predator and the sex wasn’t up to his liking. Lindsey get away from this piece of shit right away. You have a beautiful daughter !!! Don’t trust this dirty old man please," a user posted on a Reddit thread, while another expressed: "Wish Lindsey could've gotten away. Scott's body language is defensive and domineering - arms crossed standing over her."

"Scott you’re 51 and single. Just eat up whatever Linsey tells you.. Jesus," a fan commented.

"Scott is some kind of weird control freak. Red flag! Red flag! #loveafterlockup," a viewer tweeted, while another pointed out: "What’s wrong with Scott going through her personal business? He insecure and controlling with that messy ass house #LoveAfterLockup."
