WATCH: Vin Diesel gives late Paul Walker's daughter Meadow the biggest hug in emotional 'Fast And Furious' reunion
Somebody pass the tissue, coz seeing Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's daughter reunite has us in our feels. The action star was captured getting emotional as he hugged his late co-star's daughter, Meadow Walker, at the Cannes Film Festival on May 13, 2026.
Diesel was at the festival to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fast series with a midnight screening of the first movie. At the screening, Diesel cried while reflecting on the late Paul Walker, saying, "This ['The Fast and the Furious'] is a film where brotherhood was introduced to our millennium, by myself and my brother Pablo. And the person that was not going to let me come alone here to represent that brotherhood is Meadow Walker [daughter of Paul Walker]. I’m gonna go and shed a tear real quick, but I just want you all to know, the only reason why we’re making the finale of ‘Fast’ for 2028 is because of each and every one of you that has given us your hearts and your loyalty."
Walker died in a car crash in 2013. Diesel said he could not come to Cannes alone to celebrate the family-like bonds built through the 'Fast & Furious' franchise, adding that those connections now live on through Meadow.
Walker starred alongside Diesel in the first 7 'Fast & Furious' films before his death at age 40.
The next installment of the Fast franchise, 'Fast Forever,' will hit theaters on March 17, 2028.
