Warner Bros.' Movie Marketing Star is a Dog in an AI Podcast. The Internet is Barking Back
Starbuck, the family dog from 'The End of Oak Street' was already becoming a fan favorite even before the release of the film. Then Warner Bros. went and gave the dog an AI-generated podcast appearance. The promotional tactic sparked backlash on the internet forcing the studio to ultimately remove the video from its official Instagram handle. Apart from the dog, the film stars Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella and Christian Convery.
