Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, passes away at 85
Peter Cullen, the legendary voice behind Optimus Prime, has reportedly passed away at the age of 85, leaving behind a legacy that reaches far beyond animation and film. As Optimus Prime, Cullen gave life to one of the most iconic characters in pop culture history. Other iconic characters include Eeyore from A Very Merry Pooh Year and, most recently, Thaedus in Prime Video's Invincible.
His family shared the heartbreaking news, saying that Peter Cullen “passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide.”
