Prime Video’s ‘Off Campus’ team has hit back at toxic fans over the influx of hate comments cast members have recently been subjected to. The statement comes after star Mika Abdalla announced her split from her fiancé, Jake Short. A viral resurfaced clip showed the two of them on a podcast, in which Short jokes and describes Abdalla as “some bitch.” The former couple issued a joint statement clarifying that the clip is not representative of their five-year relationship. Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn are set to lead season 2 of the hit show. The first season focused on Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli’s relationship. Previously, Amazon had to issue a statement to fans of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ to respect cast privacy and safety after they shared filming locations online.
