PUBLISHED AUG 29, 2019

'Vagabond' is the second show in which actors Lee Seung-gi and Bae Suzy will play the lead roles following their hit 2013 show 'Gu Family Book', which was a period-fantasy drama. The first script reading was held on June 2, 2018, and the filming began in the same month.

The show was shot in international locations in Portugal and Morocco. The show's release was delayed multiple times and after the deal with Netflix was finalized, the show's release date was announced.

Release date:

'Vagabond' will air in South Korea on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. (KST) on SBS from September 20 and the episodes can be streamed on Netflix.

Plot:

According to Netflix, the show follows the life of a stuntman who discovers a corruption scandal and is now working against the people involved in the scandal. The synopsis of the show reads, "Vagabond is a story about a stuntman Cha Dal-geon, played by Lee Seung-gi, who gets involved in a tragic airplane crash and ends up discovering a national corruption scandal in the process. Bae Suzy plays Go Hae-ri, the oldest daughter of a deceased marine, who decides to work for the National Intelligence Service as a secret ops agent in order to support her mom and younger siblings, although all she wanted to do is to become a civil servant."

Actor Bae Suzy plays the role of a National Intelligence officer, Go Hae-ri, who only joined the services to support her family. She dreamed of becoming a civil servant but things didn't go as planned and her chance meeting with Dal-geon changes her life.

Shin Sung-Rok as Ki Tae-woong

Actor Shin Sung-Rok who is known for his performance in 'The Last Empress', 'Return',  and 'Perfume' will be seen playing the role of Ki Tae-woong, the Head of the National Intelligence Agency in the show.

Trailer:

The extended trailer announcing the release date of the show was shared by Bae Suzy on Instagram and it featured Seung-gi as Dal-geon going through a rough time as he faces the people who were responsible for the plane crash. He is ready to chase the powerful men whose ignorance resulted in the loss of lives even if it means his life would be spent entirely doing just that.

The show also gives a peek into how Hae-ri would influence the plot of the show. Hae-ri as an intelligence officer may turn out to be assigned to track Dal-geon down by the political power behind the air crash corruption scandal. In addition to this, the trailer also features some really sharp stunt scenes that we can look forward to.
